Everyone must:
- Earn a High School Diploma
- Complete 3-year-long courses (in dance, music, theatre, or visual arts) earning a grade of “A”.
Everyone must ALSO meet TWO of the following: (fill out FORM FA-1 – can be signed by your teacher)
- Completes an IB, AP, Dual Enrollment, or Honors Course in the subject above with a grade of B or higher. (You will attach your transcript from FOCUS)
- Participates in a district or state juried event for 2 years (MPA or Solo and Ensemble are examples of this. Allstate, All-County, or Local festivals do not count for this. Visit the Juried Events page for more clarification. COMPLETE FORM FA-3 – your teacher must sign this.
- Records at least 25 volunteer hours of arts-related community service in their community and presents a comprehensive presentation on the experience. COMPLETE FORM FA-4
- Submit a portfolio demonstrating that the student is an exemplary practitioner of the fine arts. FORM FA-2 is a rubric and will be completed by the committee reviewing your application. You don’t need to submit this. Include in this portfolio:
- 2 Audio recordings of your solo performance, or PowerPoint/Google Slides of 2 pieces of your visual artwork
- A written statement (essay) outlining your artistic journey, influences, and future goals that qualifies you for the FL Fine Arts Seal.

- Receives district, state, or national recognition for the creation and submission of an original work of art. (Created by the student) COMPLETE FORM FA-3. Your teacher must sign this.
To apply:
Gather your-
- Transcript (you can print this yourself from FOCUS)
- FA-1
- FA-2 (with audio or visual examples, and your essay) or FA-3, or FA-4 (depending on which option you are choosing)
- If you are doing a COMMUNITY SERVICE form (FA-4) you must ALSO send a copy to YOUR GUIDANCE department so they can enter it in! (There may be a separate form they use in addition to FA-4!)
