Advanced Degree Salary Supplement
Under Florida’s Student Success Act (SB 736), employees hired on or after July 1, 2011, may receive a salary supplement for an advanced degree only when the degree is in the employee’s area of certification. The advanced degree supplement is a salary supplement and is not considered part of base pay.
Employees Who Hold an Advanced Degree
If you have earned an advanced degree and would like to determine whether your degree is eligible for the supplement, please email a copy of your official transcript to HRTranscripts@leonschools.net for review.
Advanced Degree Supplement Amounts
Only one supplement is paid, based on the highest qualifying degree held.
- Master’s Degree: $1,800 annually
- Education Specialist Degree: $3,600 annually
- Doctoral Degree: $5,400 annually
